I have to say. I’ve been a lot of time complaining about IMSA but I have to say, if the future of WUSC looks like this, I’m happy. The P2s look like they’ve finally been given a chance. GTLM was lost by about 6 feet after 24 hours. GTD looked great and the type of cars I can really get excited about. Well done Parton and wow wow wow Corvette.
Awesome race in each class.

Yep. Great racing everywhere. This is what the sport needs right now.

Absolutely incredible how close some of the racing was after 24 hours. What a brilliant move by the 44 team letting the Lambo run out of fuel.
I was also glad to see the Corvettes allowed to race. That was incredible.

That aero push my Milner at about hour 20 was a gorgeous piece of team work, but the last twenty laps between those yellow cars was the stuff that gets written about 25 years from now.

The DPi’s are coming...

True! And DPi’s will be based on technology of this century. This decade even! The DPs had their run and it’s time for them to be part of the past.
As much as the old guard at IMSA hamstrung the P2s prior to this season, they finally let them really race.
I don’t mind the DPi rules. WEC/ACO will allow the same tub but with a limited number of engines from which to choose. IMSA will run that tub but with any engine you like.
It won’t be LMP1, but then neither will the budgets.
